Can you make money blogging? Majority of people who set up blogs do so as means to make money online.\u00a0 However, a very great majority of them get frustrated in the process.<\/p>\r\n

There could be a couple of reasons your blog isn’t making money<\/a>. From my experience, blogs that get little or no traffic are not likely to make money; particularly if the monetization strategy is display adverts.\u00a0 I think it makes a lot of sense: if no body visits to read your content, how can they see and click on the ads on you display.<\/p>\r\n

Unfortunately, many newbies have been thought that the best way to make money blogging is by having ads on their content.\u00a0 So as soon as they set up their blogs, they start applying for adsense.\u00a0 \u00a0Many soon get frustrated because they are not able to even get their websites approved for Google Adsense.<\/p>\r\n

No one showed them the right steps to getting approved for Google Adsense<\/a>.\u00a0 Even after getting adsense approval, you found that it isn’t easy to make money with just splasing ad codes on your content.\u00a0 A lot of issues come to play such as quantity and quality of traffic, where your visitors are coming from, cost per click (cpc), page revenue per thousand (rpm), etc.<\/p>\r\n

You soon realize that your blog can’t earn due to low traffic. However, it is possible to make money even with a low traffic.\u00a0 And in this post, I’ll show how.<\/p>\r\n

The first step to creating a profitable blog is to understand that blogging is a business and approach it in like manner.\u00a0 Thus, you have to start by planning your business carefully before launching.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Blogging is a content based business and there are four components to it that you must identify and address when planning to start.<\/p>\r\n

These are:\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Business model<\/h4>\r\n

You have to define your blogging business model.\u00a0 This is the general framework that cleary states how you want to run your blogging business and how you intend to make money with it. Thus, if your strategy is to earn with ad revenue, you must have a system of driving.\u00a0 This is\u00a0 because traffic is a key ingredient of success for websites whose primary revenue strategy is adverts.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Audience\u00a0<\/h4>\r\n

This defines the market you want to target. What kind of people do you expect to attract with your content.\u00a0 Defining your audience will help you decide on the type of content to create.\u00a0 It’ll also help you to decide on the appropriate product you will sell on the site.<\/p>\r\n

Content Strategy<\/h4>\r\n

What kind of content will you be creating, what language will you use in creating the content and how often will you be creating it? Will your content be self-created or user-generated? These are basically the issues you will have to settle before even buy a domain.<\/p>\r\n

Marketing<\/h4>\r\n

how do you promote your content and drive traffic to your site.\u00a0 How do you get your audience to buy what you have to offer.<\/p>\r\n

Optimize the site for search engine. Publish qaulity content.\u00a0 Attract and cultivate your audience to build confidence, then monetize with the right strategy appropriate to your audience.<\/p>\r\n

These are the pillars to making money with your blog and here’re some of strategies you can use to make money blogging even if you are getting less than 1000 visitors daily.<\/p>\r\n

6 Ways to Make Money with a Low Traffic Blog<\/h2>\r\n

#1. Sell your skill<\/h3>\r\n

Skills such as personal selling (you know how to sell), writing (you can write very well), data analytics (even it is the use of MS Excel), coding (you can write programs that solve problems), etc. These are some of the high income skills that are in high demand<\/a>. Do you have any or a combination of them?<\/p>\r\n

Why not use your blog to sell it?\u00a0 There are no better way to exploit your blog traffic than offering suitable services using your skills.<\/p>\r\n

A lucrative way to make money blogging is by selling digital products.\u00a0 However, it is important that the products you sell are relevant to your niche. \u00a0 The audience that visit your site do so because they seek specific information relevant to their needs.\u00a0 So presenting them with products outside their interest will irritate them and they may never come back.<\/p>\r\n

And you will not make money as a result.<\/p>\r\n

Digital products come in either of three forms, namely: e-books, software and online courses.\u00a0 You can create these resources yourself or sell for others.\u00a0 Create a resource page on your blog and list your digital products.\u00a0 Show and sell it to your audience.<\/p>\r\n
